Golod Speedometer

Hi all, does anybody know if a 1959 gold front speedo head can be changed for another year speedo, I have a speedo that is behaving very erratically, needle sticking, reading slow etc, I have stripped it but cannot improve it, any idea's appreciated.

You have to make sure that the speedo you replace it with has the same 'TPM' in order to make sure the reading you are get is accurate. The 'TPM' number can be found on the face of the speedo. A photo showing where to find the number can be found in this thread here:

Hi, thanks for the info, do you know if I can put the gold face on a later speedo if the TPM s the same please, the TPM is 1504 on mine, Peter.

The only later speedo with the same TPM is for the LCVs. That is black and has a 90mph face.
Don't mess about, buy a 2nd hand speedo for around £10 and fit that.
