Which panel?
Hello,
I'm buying a traveller soon that has rot around the spring hangers, both sides. Which panel do the spring hangers fix too? I want to replace the whole panel as theres no metal that I can see to weld too!

Re: Which panel?
Why are you buying it then?
Are you talking about the front or rear of the spring, or both

It's cheap and I like a spot of welding! the holes are around the front spring mount.

Re: Which panel?
Those spring hanger on a plate panels are pretty good!
Dont forget to take lots of measurements from the original hanger to all the other suspension points and maybe consider (with the axle dropped) dropping a plumb line and marking on the garage floor to ensure you get the new hanger in the right place.

Good advice, cheers. And garage floor? If only. I'll find a nice flat spot in the road outside!chickenjohn wrote:Those spring hanger on a plate panels are pretty good!

Re: Which panel?
David, when I used to run the old East Kent branch web site, I had a guide (complete with pictures) to front and rear spring hanger replacement on the site.
I passed on the site to a new webmaster a couple of years ago. I could however, try and put the pages up somewhere so you can have a read, they were when I did the hangers on my convertible which has passed two MOT's now and drives perfectly!
