Classics at the mill 17-04-11 (Somerset)

Post by CATM »

Hi

Not sure how many are based in the South West, but I’d like to invite you to an event I’m involved with organising.

Classics at the mill is a classic car and motorcycle show held at the Haselbury mill, near Crewkerne, Somerset on Sunday 17th April.

This is a charity event with all proceeds going to the Motor Neurone Disease Association .

More details can be found at www.classicsatthemill.co.uk

yes, i was looking at it and posted it on the MMOC young members group and got a mixed feedback. I am In Beaminster and as it stands is the only real close Show to me so will be probably taking a trip out.

I know it is for Charity but why is it £4.00 for exhibitors who take the trouble to bring their vehicles, without which there wouldn`t be a show, and Free entry for the public?

By advertising it as free entry we attract a larger number of people, who generally, once there donate as much, or more than we would have charged them for entry anyway.

This way we have more people attending and raise more money for the charity.

£4 isn’t a huge sum of money, and if you’ve a car full that’s less than a pound each!

Personally I get more enjoyment from showing my car than from attending a show without it.

Won't be attending.... date clashes with the Bristol Classic Show at Shepton Mallet. Shame.
