Engine number
can anyone help me i have a a series engine in my morris which is a 1098cc but it has a marnina crank pulley and the engine number is H194531

sounds like it's a recon jobbie to me. proffesional reconditioners often fit their own numbering systems.
from what i recall the other day it's definately a 1098. it's quite a common thing to fit the damped pulley, we've got them on most of our minors. the riveted standard ones often fall apart!
