I was bidding on a van a couple of months back on ebay. It sold for just over £3.5K. My max was £3.5k. It has now been re listed by the original owner. I have asked him why and he has replied that the winner was a tyre kicker and did not buy???
Was this by any chance a member or does anyone know anything about the van. Its too far for me to just go and look. Is there anyone local that knows vans and would be willing to look for me.
New ebay number is 160560767173
Thanks
Paul

Re: Did you buy this van
If you are willing to spend that much I think you should have a look at it rather than trust what the seller says especially in this situation.
It has the look of a fresh respray and chrome without even bothering about the wheels.
All the pictures are of the cosmetics nothing of the running gear or underneath.

Here's the link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MORRIS-6CWT-VAN-W ... 25622ae0c5
It's a lot of money to spend based on a few photos so you really need to inspect it thoroughly before purchase, or get someone who knows what they're looking for to inspect it for you. As it's in Sudbury it might be worth contacting the Norfolk & Suffolk branch to see whether anyone there knows anything about the van: http://www.iceniminors.co.uk
Or ask on the LCV Register site: http://www.minorlcvreg.co.uk Russ Harvey might be able to help.

Thanks louise, I have posted on the LCV registar and sent an email to the other link. £3.5k is a lot of money but when I posted a wanted, for a van. I was told I wouldent get much for that sort of money. There were more pictures last time it was listed. I would bid again but someone walked away from it and I would like to know why. Its about 400 mile round for me. Having said that there are a lot of time waisters about. It would be nice if someone local could just say" yes or no " as to weather its worth looking at.
Cheers

Re: Did you buy this van
there's not a lot of info on the listing, most morris minor and classic car Ebay listings have a page or more of history on the vehicle, he is saying very little there. It may be cos he's cheesed off at the "tyre kicker" but thats no reason to give such little info on the van. Deffinate case of view before bidding.

Re: Did you buy this van
The Ebay seller is a registered business - Jaguar dealer - so probably doesn't know a great deal about the vehicle. It could have been part/exchanged into his dealership.

Re: Did you buy this van
Well, I have now bought a van, cost more than £3.5k and not as good condition as the one I was asking about. One of those impulse buy
seems to be a very rare beast so hope Ive done the right thing
