Hi,just fitted the 1.3 marina engine and not happy with the left top hose alignment and woundered it there is a better themostate housing to line the top hose up better.thanks

I believe some use the cover from an early MGB - or possibly a Wolseley 1500. I found it was fine with standard housing if I used the curved section cut from an old bottom hose.

Hi, if it's any help I used a right angled silicone hose of the right diameter. First you cut the outlet of the rad down to about 25mm which will give an inlet pointing to the back of the engine bay which is at right angles to the original thermostat housing. Obtain the right diameter hose from ebay etc and hey presto, a hose that won't let you down like the "rubber" ones. I have run minors with this arrangement for 20 years with no probs. Silicone hoses also seal better and are more flexible/vibration resistant, consider one as essential for a long lasting bypass hose.
