Species of wood on the Traveller

Post by Fingolfin »

Evening all (well, evening where I am, anyhow),

I've been looking and looking for what sort of wood the Travellers originally came with. All indications are ash -- but ash from where, how old, etc.? I ask because I have been offered a Trav (in bad shape) for free, and am eager to begin its resto.

Not that I couldn't use whatever kind of wood suited me.

Yep, it's Ash. It was the default wood for coach building due to it's characteristics.

The original stuff was boiled in Cuprinol which is why it lasts so well.
