HELP, my brake lights
my brake lights are constantly on and i dont know why. ive tried tapping the hydrolic switch put it didnt work. i dont know whats wrong. please help
if in doubt give it a clout!
Re: HELP, my brake lights
Probably the switch has failed - but it's possible that the master cylinder is not returning home correctly and some pressure is being retained in the hydraulic circuit. You could check this by briefly loosening a bleed nipple to release any pressure - and see if that lets the lights go off. Also check that the cable to the switch hasn't been damaged - causing the two wires to touch.

Re: HELP, my brake lights
either a short in the wiring or a dead switch for my money... unplug the switch wires, if theyre still on its wiring, if not then i blame the switch.
Re: HELP, my brake lights
Right developments are they now are tempremental and stay on only sometimes when the pedal is depressed. any ideas?

i couldnt see any visible damage to the wires and when disconected the lights went off. will try the bleed nipple tommorow as i have no time tonight
