Re: What's yours called?
Interesting ... I sat in the driver's seat and asked if she minded ... she didn't break down for a few weeks (was in a bit of a state when I first got her - sat in a driveway for 7 years), so I took that as an OK.
Still if ever I want to rename a ship, now I know what to do ... makes sense really.

Re: What's yours called?
mine is lily b (lilibeth when she is being bad) - weird as the registration is GAV.
Named after my exes gran - elderly, eccentric and erm grey......both the car and the gran. The story is made better by the fact that the gran was only called lily because her dad already had the name as a tattoo when he met her mum, and explained it away as the name of his first born daughter when he had one! Lily B may be the only morris with her own logo - a retro tattoo, which i am having as a window sticker.....
sadly everyone else calls her Gav - no understanding that all cars are female.....

Winston, although his full name is Lord Winston of Writhlington. Now looking to buy a second car which will be called Clementine.
Re: What's yours called?
Ours is called Gormley because it's an old Minor. (Our last one was called that too - many owners may not remember that Joe Gormley was a Mining Union official - pre-Scargill).[frame]

Re: What's yours called?
i can't make up my mind whether to call mine Connie (after connie francis), or Georgy, after the seekers song "georgy girl". she is a bit hard done by at the moment, but with a bit of work she will be beautiful! can't really do anything to do with the plate because it is age related, and ends UXN

Re: What's yours called?
At the moment mine is called 'the shed' or 'Project' or 'the Morris' depending on how upbeat I am. We haven't got close enough yet to form a relationship, but we will.

Re: What's yours called?
Mog -- named after a moogle from Final Fantasy IX!
Shows how young I am. Actually it's Moggie, because that was the first "Morrisy" nickname I came across when I was first reading up on Minors.

The way to a man's heart may be making food, but the way to my heart is buying me car parts!
Come read about my Minor at An American Moggie.

Re: What's yours called?
Mog was also a playable character in ff VI and was in the gold saucer game Mog house in FFVII. And was in ff8 in the chicobo side quest to name a few. Mines called leeroy.

Hahaha, Phurn, you're absolutely right of course! FFIX was the first to come to mind, though, since it's my favorite among the ones I've played. Haven't had the pleasure of playing VI yet...
