Tomorrow (Sunday the27th) Aldi have an electric hoist for only £45. Looks worh checking to me!

You do of course need a good 'beam' to fix it to!

bolt it to the front of your minor for those tricky off-road situations!

If using off road remember a long extension lead and/or a generator :D

It actually has very very limited 'hoisting' capability. My little hand hoist (cost $3C) can lift 1 ton !! Not sure if the swing frame would take that though..........

Is that an electric one though roy?

I have been looking at long lift (10m required) electric hoists for work. There is a similar one in screwfix for £110ish, but for an industrial 1/2 tonne job you are looking at ~£1700

got my chain hoist for free... I was offered another for free a few years later, but had to decline as one was more than enough.

Just a thought; if Aldi's hoists don't sell then in a couple of weeks they'll reduce the price! MikeN.
