I sometimes wear a flat cap and some leather, string backed driving gloves. I believe the Minor was designed to accomodate a driver wearing a hat, hence the high sides.

When the driver is wearing a hat and gloves a Morris Minor is legally restricted to 30mph at the front of a half mile queue of traffic :(

Or there ahead of the very slowly moving que of traffic because its snowy/ icy, so the minor can actually get some grip, and their on their way to go sledging..

I've only just noticed this topic.. oops!
Hats really are a must when diriving, I've never been seen driving without one. I don't suppose it matters what kind you wear as we all like to be different and original, I normally go for the scarecrow/fisherman hat seen above though recently I've been more commonly seen in a trilby. :D

I tend to favour a flat cap and pipe whilst out in the Traveller, although will wear a Panama in the summer of course. Also have a nice Fortnums Hamper in the back too. A nice selection of Harris tweed jackets, cravats, Cords, brogues and a nice pair of driving gloves also. I also end up in an old beaten up pair of converse and a combat jacket at times! I like the converse because they are thin soled and I can feel the pedals better, considering I'm size 15 it helps!

Laugh all you want but as I've said to people before I've never felt more relaxed!! And each to their own after all!

You might like to check out The Chap at http://www.thechap.net/ for Sartorial and Gentlemanly tips.

Happy motoring![frame]Image[/frame]

I like the site Johnny. Your "look" suits the Traveller's car well (might we call it a shooting brake?). I hope the hamper is full of things like "Gentlemen's Relish" (Patum Peperium), stuffed woodcock and such goodies. Regards, the Sarge.

i think a crocodile dundee hat is ideal for the moggie!

:S

other than that, a bowler hat would do nicely.

:D
