ital A+ electronic ignition

Post by joe winkfield »

hey i recently bought a ital electronic distributor off ebay. only to find that when i got it that the drive slots at the bottom which go into the engine are to wide. however i do have the bottom half of a older distributor which fits into the engine. so just wondering can i change the end drive slots on the electronic distributor for the one that fits.

I believe this can be done - but I haven't done it. You will then have the problem of how to clamp it into the block......

You can get different slots in the driveshaft that comes off of the camshaft. So you can either change this which will be much easier than altering your dizzy or if the dizzy was new from a supplier ask to return it have them fit the correct shaft into the dizzy or supply another one.
