van side

Post by les »

Hi, anyone remember the van side that was on ebay a while ago, I think the seller had a couple or more? I want to trace him to see if one is still available. Any info please?

Don't know if they still have it but last time I went to ESM they had a van side hanging up.

Thanks for the thought, I too remember it! Unfortunately it was sold a while back.

Looks like one of Tony Carroll's in Manchester. I'll PM you his number.
I've been tempted with them in the past (he's had them quite a while) but unless you've got serious accident damage, you can do a great deal of repair work on the existing ones before you get up to that price, though looking at it the other way, they are now so rare no doubt you could say find a cheaper one if you don't like the price....
In some ways its a shame to use them as a new pair ought to be preserved for possibly making uo new tooling from but thats probably wishful thinking....
cheers

You're right Iain it is Tony! Actually I have a cheque in the post to you for one of your repair panels Mo4? Thought I'd have one more attempt at repair before getting one of those new old stock sides ( I've spoken to Tony, he still has them) I've been getting some panel distortion from my last effort, but hope that with your purpose made panel it will go better.
