Now,
Is it totally okay to use Comma Trolly Jack oil to replenish the Armstrong shock-absorbers?
Also,
I know we've covered oils extensively before, but is Castrol 15W40 Magnatec perfectly fine for a standard 1098? The bottle says on the bottom in a kinda slogan-ish way "Synthetic Engineering", so is synthetic oils okay for it then? Is this a synthetic oil?
Cheers!
Rob

15W40 Magnatec is a bit over the top for a standard 1098 but it will protect it well and not do it any harm! (it's what I use in my tuned 1380).
Standard GTX (white bottle) 15W40 is pretty good for the 1098 and cheaper than Magnatec
Can't say for sure about the jack oil (never used it as I still have some old proper damper oil left)

I was hoping you'd answer as I remeber you saying something about it in "Oil" (which i can't now find). It's just that I've got a big bottle of it in my shed (bought cheap, Halford priced it up wrong and it was a 15% off day!) and Boris needs an oil change. Superb. I'm pretty sure you can use Jack Oil, as i recall Practical Classics saying about it, I just wanted to make sure.
Cheers guys for responding
