Bodywork

Post by fritsdw »

Hi MMOC's. I am in desperate need of help with a 1963 Traveller's wood repairs. After almost a months search on the internet I at last discovered through your magazine an article on the site and I quote in full
http://members.fortunecity.com/minorman ... le_restore_
traveller_wood.html . There I find a reasonably good article on the way to go with replacing wooden sections but I cannot get the two diagrams to open. Can somebody perhaps copy it somewhere and paste it on a reply letter to my e-mail address here in South Africa (fritzdw@tshwane.gov.za, here it is with a z , or to my home e-mail at
fmdewijn@absa.co.za ) . It would be HIGHLY appreciated even any other useful hints please!!!! We are on the verge of ordering the parts out of England but have to wait for help somewhere on how to do it ,as it is apparently not childs play.
Kind regards to you all.
Fritz. [/img]

That website has had a few problems recently with pictures dissapearing. I have had similar trouble in other areas of the website myself. Not much we can do really except maybe e-mail their webmaster and tell them the problem and maybe ask for an e-mail copy of the pictures.

Fritz you can also try Steve Foreman as I am sure he gives advice on how things go together as well as selling everything you need.

Thanks Kevin, He (at Woodies) was also one of the first ones that I picked up on the internet and on request also sent us a brochure. He said that they do supply basic instructions when shipping orders. We were however told by two guys here in Pretoria, South Africa that although Steve's wood is the best it is still not easy to install and that is why we are trying to get as much advice and if possible step by step instructions. I realy appreciate you guys replying so soon seeing that I am in Morris world there. I was fascinated this morning when I noticed how many people log into your site, almost every second. I do feel in good hands now and remain hopeful. Have a stunning rest of the day.

Reply from Futurecity as received this morning 13/8 is as follows :
"Those X's mean that the images do not exist at the address given. I have forwarded your mail to the site owner, although the account has not been updated since October 2002 and so the address may no longer be valid."

Lets hope they can fix the problem and thanks for the tip CAM.
