ACC 823A
Does anyone know anything about this car, have you owned her before ?
I would like to find out anything I can especially the original colour as she has been sprayed a terrible black.
I am in the process of restoring her back to original so any help would be appreciated.
Many thanks
Donna

Have a look under the back seat, under the door cards, behind the glovebox covers etc. You can usually find a trace of the original paint somewhere.I would like to find out anything I can especially the original colour
Also if you send £25 to the British Motor Heritage centre they will send you a certificate telling you what the car left the factory with (key codes, paint etc).

Hi Donna! (Welcome btw!)
Have you still got the plate under the bonnet? It will have a number on it which you can use to decode the colour. If you tell us the year of your car two it'll help narrow down possible codes
Good luck!
Nikki

Hazza! Cam to the rescue again! I didn't know that either!Cam wrote:If the car is A reg then it's probably a 1963 car, so the ID plate will not give the colour code. Only plates up to 1958 give the colour code (Car numbers starting with F or O). If the number starts with M or A then there is no colour code.

Thanks Cam!

Morris Minor 2 Door saloon, 1098cc, Deluxe model.
It is a later car as suspected, so there is no colour information unfortunately.
According to the chassis number, I would say that the car was built between October and November 1962.
It is one of the first 1098cc models, only 6477 cars after the first 1098.
