Wiring in Motorola radio

Can you please advise me the best way to wire in my Motorola Radio to my Minor

Is the car negative earth ? Because the wireless almost certainly is........ Just bolt it in - connect to the purple wire via an inline fuse and earth the casing. Simples.

l have wired the radio in it llights up ok but when i connect the earth wire it blows a fuse any idea's please.The car is negative earth

Is the radio positive earth?

It appears that you have a short somewhere, post some pictures if you can.

how can it light up with no earth maybe its earthing through the aerial and the wire he thinks is earth is not . maybe confusing with the speaker wires and earthing one of those ?
