Ride Height
Today I replaced the eyebolt bushes on the passenger side, having replaced the driver's side a few weeks ago. Unfortunately as I was doing it, the suspension arm slid off the back of the splines on the torsion bar and I lost the correct setting. I've put it all back together but haven't got it quite right as the suspension on that side is now a bit higher, with about 5 inches between the top of the tyre and the wheelarch as opposed to ~4 inches on the other side. Looking at the position of the damper arm in relation to the lower bump stop though, I wondered if the new setting is in fact the correct one, as it would give more suspension movement? Also, how many splines would I need to go up/down to remedy this problem?

I suspect you are one spline too high. The other side will be dragging it down slightly. One spline drops the car about 1.5".

The moral of the story is to mark the arm and bar with tippex etc before removal.

I never had much success using that method, removing the arm removed all the Tippex from the splines too.
