I'm in the process of re-treating the timber on my Traveller and to make life easier I removed the rear lights. However, when I removed the rubber boots the bullet connectors (see pic) pulled off the wires.

They don't appear to have been crimped or soldered, so can somebody tell me how I attach the bullets back on the wire securely please?
With that type you just put the stripped end of the wire through from the back and fold it over. When you push it in the bare strands of wire get trapped between the plug and socket.

If it doesn't work, you're not hitting it with a big enough hammer.
Give the hollow bullet a quick rub down with some emery paper, to get a nice shiney metal surface.Ditto the "holder part" so that you get good contact when re-assembling.If the wire strands are not clean and there is sufficient length, strip a little off the end to get some fresh cable into the equation.
I could do that and the end result would be certainly more secure and reliable but then it wouldn't be possible to pull the bullets back through the rubber in future due to the shoulder (see pic above).
Probably better to replace them with normal bullets and adjust the sockets on the lights to fit
