door mirrors
hi, can someone tell me how to fix door mirrors on,, d0 they bolt through the centre of the triangle next to the quarter light cheers.

It all depends on the mirrors you have. Post a picture or a link and i'm sure someone will be able to help. And yes they are often attached to the triangular section in front of the quarterlight.

Jeff,
If you intend to fit the "Lucas style" door mirrors which are currently being sold you may be in for some disappointment as on the passenger side your vision may be obscured by about 30%! They look good but are not practical. Also the thread on the mirror may be too long and has to be cut back as the rear of the triangle may collide and not fit flush with the door frame. In the end I made a new arm. Read through this if you want to see a possible working solution.

hi, declan i think the mirrors i have bought from bull motif look the same as yours there is someone on here who has the same mirrors and said as they are handed you put the left on the right side and visa versa and they work great on both sides

Hi Jeff,
They are handed and swopping them over does not solve the problem. Believe me, I tried all that already.
You can swop a right hand door mirror for use as a left hand wing mirror and vice versa but it doesn't solve the obscured vision problem unless you mount both as wing mirrors.
