eyebolt shims

i need to buy some washers to shim out the eyebolt and lose the pos camber, does anyone know the diameter of the hole (eyebolt diameter) that i need in the washer.

Yes be careful to use the right size, should be 11/16" or 17.5mm. Many years ago I used some 3/4" (19mm) washers and they started to force their way over the tube in the chassis leg. All sorted out as part of the restoration and new chassis legs, but was beginning to cause a problem,

It's a pity nobody makes 'negative camber' eyebolts with longer shank so the nut gets full thread engagement.

I'll second the comment about needing a correctly fitting washer (no clearance to the shaft) - I've seen one where the re-enorcement tube slid out sideways from a new repro chassis leg as it was poorly attached to the inner panel.
On old rotten legs the rot may have damaged the inner panel, leaving the area very weak. The tube can come out complete with the nut on the end of the eyebolt..

Another thought on the eye bolt shims. There are some 'U' shaped shims about - even OEM from BMC at one time?? These are really not a good idea as the gap in the 'U' allows water etc. to get into the chassis leg tube and start the rot with a vengeance!

got some 11/16 washes from a local supplier today so i can have a go at the weekend, both chassis legs are sound inside and out so should be ok

I used flat bar with the correct size hole drilled in the centre.

that was my first idea ,i had the bar but not the correct drill bit, washers only cost 10p for 6 so went with that instead
