Well we have been working slowly over the Christmas on too many projects but now I need to get the Morris out of my garage.
So, here is what we have done so far.
Car came off the road due to the gearbox dropping a tooth in first.
Could not find another good gearbox so decided to buy the 5 speed conversion from the Birmingham mmc.
Could not get a flywheel to suit so I bit the bullet and dusted off an old 1275 I had in the garage.
Stripped down the 1275 to find it is a 1330 with 266 cam, lightened and balanced.
Cleaned up the engine and painted it all up and proceeded to get it ready for the morris.
Stripped the engine bay ready, found some work that needed doing in the engine bay, done that, painted it all black.
Removed brake master, cleaned the chassis rails out and "smoothrited" them fully.
New brake pipes, servo bracket, removed wiring loom, renewed the covering and re-routed it better.
Fitted 5 speed box and engine and prop shaft.
Things left to do:-
Make exhaust manifold, fit Howley intake and 1 1/2" carb and filter.
Find cooling fan that will clear the breather and fit!
refit front end and MOT then test drive!
