Fuses keep blowing

Hi

It's been a while since I last posted a request. The latest one is this: For the past couple of days each time I depress the brake pedal the radio crackles until the pedal is lifted again and then it continues as normal. Also, the fuse keeps blowing.
Because I have quite a few electrical mods - front and rear screen heaters, fan heater, reversing light etc. I currently have a 35 amp fuse. I can't find anything in the manual which says what the ampage of the fuse should be and with all these extra bits it would probably need to be more than the standard one anyway.
Once the fuse has blown (which it's now done 3 times, everything inside on the dash stops working - indicator lights, petrol gauge, windscreen wipers etc. so I can't let this continue. The main lights and actual indicators work so I assume they must be on a different circuit.
Any ideas or solutions would be much appreciated.

Must be an intermittent short circuit in the brake light circuit. Do the brake lights operate ok when you press the pedal ? It may simply be that you are overloading the fuse with too many consumers on the same circuit. Your heated screens would be better on their own circuit -away from everything else. 35 amp is the correct value - don't be tempted to go higher.

If you blow the fuse when you press the brake pedal then you could have a wire to the brake light pressure switch shorting out.
I had the same problem, it was caused by me removing the fresh air hose and replacing it, not noticing that the jubilee clip had dropped off and was resting on the brake light switch
Also check the wiring to the brake lights
