Does anyone know where its possible to get the original style numberplate for the boot recess on a saloon?

Just called them, and with the new vat etc, they're £25 Inc vat and postage. Seems very reasonable to me!I got mine from Framptons, it was cut to fit the recess exactly

Re: Boot Numberplate
Right number, right car, wrong shape plate. The original dealers, W W Webbers still exist in Basingstoke but I doubt if they would change it as the car is out of warranty.

Re: Boot Numberplate
Hmmm, Framptons are in Havant (approx 20mins drive) so that looks like a good option

Re: Boot Numberplate
Tippers vintage plates are another co. who do special shaped rear plates, though not all cars had them from new as Mike says. My 53 convertible has a standard rectangular plate with border, neatly trimmed to go round the numberplate light. Been like it all its life so it'll stay like that.
Tippers is one of the few companies who could supply reflective plates with raised plastic letters, which were correct for my 1970 Panda car so worth a try if you're after anything obscure or particular...
