Hello,...
My Dad has an old Morris Traveller that is in need of major restoration.
It will need all new wood and at least 500 pounds worth of work spent I'd say to get it running.
The plus side is that my Dad (about 10 years ago had the whole of the floor refitted so I dont think there are any holes there!
It looks a bit of a wreck, but he is now too old to think about restoring it, and it now sits under some tarpauling - where its stayed for the last 6 or 7 years!
How much could he ask for it if he were to sell it...?
He has no idea, and I thought I'd ask you guys for a rough guesstimate?!
I will try and take some pictures tomorrow.
Many thanks in advance.
How much is it worth?

Re: How much is it worth?
Hi, welcome to the messageboard. Sounds like the traveller needs quite a bit of work doing to it but photos will definately help to give a better idea of what it might be worth. Where has the car been sitting - outdoors or in a garage? Although a new floor was fitted 10 years ago if it's been sitting outside for the last 6 or 7 years there may well be some corrosion there so it would be worth having a good look underneath as a sound, solid underside will make quite a difference to the price. (ps: I've moved your post from the 'for sale' forum as it isn't actually a car for sale yet)

Re: How much is it worth?
where are you located?
I wouldn't mind coming to look at it and any problem areas if you're local. mind, it'd have to wait until the end of january.
i don't profess to be an expert, but i've nearly finished restoring a saloon and know what to look for - maybe i could feed back to the forum what i see. all on the proviso that you're local!

That sounds great. Mt Dad lives in Milton Keynes -- so quite close to you I suppose. I'll take some photo's tomorrow and try to post them on here (if I can work out how to do it)
Thanks again

Hello...
After pulling back the covers, my Dad has now fallen in love with this Traveller again -- and so he's decided to keep it and get it running when he's feeling better.
Hopefully I'll post some pictures when he's got it back on the road.
Thanks for your interest and offers of help!

Fantastic!
They seem to have that effect!
Look forward to seeing it back on the road.
Send him best wishes, and hope he gets better soon
