Is it me or the Messageboard?
If I am drafting a reply to a topic and dare to leave the MMOC website, or even look at something within the MMOC site, there is a very good chance that the draft will have disappeared! On going back to continue with the reply, the screen will still be the entry form, but now completely blank. It has happened many times in the past, and twice already this morning for the same reply!
Also happens if I am using 'Preview' before actually posting the reply.
Very, very annoying.
P.S. Tried to find a way to email the MMOC this norning, couldn't find one - is there a way?

Draft postings disappear!

Re: Draft postings disappear!
Hi
Yes this happens on most forums as there is no save draft facility.
If youre doing a long post I find its easiest to draft it in a word document on the computer then copy and paste into the forum.
At least then you have the main text when you have to start all over again!!

Re: Draft postings disappear!
I've found this on a few other forums too. These days I just submit instaed of preview, then edit the worst bits after it's been posted - the edit button will stay open and the delete button will continue to work unless someone posts another comment below it (as far as I know).
To contact 'official' people on the site, just click on a moderators name (should be listed on each section) or find 'webmaster' listed in a similar place on main page of the forum - this should open a PM window. responses are usually pretty quick unless the person who recieves the message is on holiday. To avoid that, if one of the names is highlighed, you know the user is on the sitre at that time so they may recieve the message straight away.

Re: Draft postings disappear!
I've never had a problem with the preview button, and I use it fairly often.
Never thought to try saving a draft, stream of conciousness is more my style
