Re: Accident Damaged morris minor.
Hello Dad and WillWell this is young campers dad reporting!
Just been to see the Woody at the body shop, roof already pushed out O.K. so should be back on the road in Feb,
Good news to hear it will be saved -I'm surprised that the body shop will keep the roof etc... but glad to hear it will be sorted

Thanks for the updates!

Re: Accident Damaged morris minor.
I am very sorry I haven't updated this thread sooner, I completely forgot about it.
Anyway The Traveller came back from Nidor Body works looking splendid, and soon after she was pressed back into daily use. Shes clocked up a few thousand miles since then and still looks better than ever. It just goes to show how important agreed valuation is.

Re: Accident Damaged morris minor.
Looks lovely. I like the bizarre colour scheme too.
Have to admit, if it was me I'd have got a few mates to push it back onto its feet and prob driven it home.
Remarkable how strong they are... especialy a trav.
At the risk of offending trav owners I'd have expected it to blow apart like a bit of old flat-pack furniture when walloped on one corner. Maybe the natural flex in the wood frame actually helped things?
Certainly a lesson in why its good to have decent wood!

Well done indeed - full respect to that body shop - and to the Insurance Co (who were they?) for paying up for the repair.... I had feared the lack of ongoing report meant that the car had been quietly 'put to sleep'........

Hi bmcecosse,
We are with Footman James and it has and agreed valuation of £5000, really that is what saved her.

Indeed - I guess so. Is the car marked up with WD emblems and Bomb Squad details?? If mine - I would be tempted to carry a large 'bomb' on a roof rack......

We've always wanted to get some magnetic ones for shows but sadly we haven't managed it yet. I like your Idea though
