Student Bangers.

Post by SGTBILKO »

I know it's super boring but i can remember what some of the other cadets drove at The Plymouth School of Navigation 40 years ago.

Ford Cortina 1300 Mk 1
Ford Corsair
Landrover
Austin A30
Hillman Husky
Dark blue Morris Minor (really smart).
Sunbeam alpine, red (flashy)
1954 Ford Popular (mine, bought for £40)
Ford 100E
Austin 1300 (I remember doing 100 mph in it with the owner)

Well I did warn you that it would be boring!

I forgot to mention that one of the lecturers a Commander Batrick drove a Rolls Royce 20/25 and another drove a Talbot from the early 1930's, not common even in 1970.

I've just remembered another too, an Alvis TA 14, perhaps the best of the lot!

There was also a Hillman Imp which ended up on its roof, where are you know Reese?
Plus a Morris Oxford, the one with the fins.
