Alternator repairs

Post by hdavy »

Does anyone know who in South London would check/repair alternators?

Hello Hdavy,

if you have a possibly faulty Lucas alternator, it is probably cheaper to get an exchange unit than have an auto electrician do a check/repair?.

If it's a Lucas ACR model - then it's often just the little brushes which are inexpensive and very easily renewed. Worth checking...
