Oh, we had lots of Pulse Code Modulator units... The sign on the front of the cabinets was in plain english and read: 'Keep Well Away'

Also popular in Motor speed control, disability scooters spring to mind, you could hear the early ones sqealing as the pulse was in the audible range.

im not a comms guy so its all abit foreign to me, its not qa big question and its only worth about 3% so im not overly worried bout it..... it'd just be nice to get that 3%!!

Ignore the equations, the question isn't about them.

The Wikipedia page has all the info you need, just don't be tempted to copy and paste it.

Translate it into language your mum could understand and you should get full marks.

i really dont like this comms stuff.... im more of a digital man, everythings either on or off! make slife much easier. I'd much rather be playing with a PIC chip tbh.

The world is analogue, get used to it, don't be put off by equations as long as you don't have to write them.

If you can simplify the question till your mum can understand it, that will show that you understand it, not that you can recreate it, that isn't what the question is about.

Try and have more of a "can do" attitude, it will serve you much better in the world of work.
