Paint For Pin Stripe
You will see from an earlier post that I want to apply a pin stripe to my Minor. According to info on this site the colour should be Pearl Grey.
I'm struggling to find someone who sells this colour in a touch up can. Does anyone know where I can get it? I cannot have it mixed due to the small quantity required.
One option is to buy a spray can and spray it into a container before hand painting but I'm not sure whetehr the consistency would be ok doing this.
Alternatively, are there any colours that are similar to pearl grey?
Thanks for any replies.

Many thanks. I looked on several web sites but somehow missed this one.

I'm not sure celly on celly will work well - it may just blend into the paint below. Way back when I was minded to do this - I'm sure I used Humbrol enamel paint.

My car has been repainted using two pack - I Think. Will cellulose touch up paint be ok on top of this?

Re: Paint For Pin Stripe
If you've had a 2 pack re spray I would suggest using the pin stripe self adhesive tape (available from motor factors or Ebay) rather than trying celly. They don't mix - celly uses thinners and this doesn't "agree" with 2 pack. You might get a reaction which would ruin your new paint!

Could go down this route but colour should be Pearl Grey. I guess nearest stick on stripe will be silver unless anyone knows differently.

Thanks; I took note of your suggestion about using Humbrol but given that I haven't seen what pearl grey lookes like I wasn't sure about which colour to buy.

Re: Paint For Pin Stripe
Silver would be a good substitute for pearl grey (light silver)
