Hi
Can anyone tell me what the interior of the boot should look like on a 1970 saloon.ie did it originally have rubber matting on the floor or was it carpeted? Were the wheel arches and side panels covered with anything or were they left exposed and,if so, were they painted in body colour paint or something else?
Thanks in advance for any replies

Re: Boot Interior
I think the boot floor is black painted plywood and the wheel arches just plain body colour. Any carpet or mat is an added plus point, it helps to stop the toolbox banging when you go over speed humps!
Re: Boot Interior
I have nice thick sealer of some sort all over the floor/boot sides
It's tempting to fully line the boot with some sort of carpet to make it nicer but it's a lot of work.
