My clutch return spring pinged off, so I went to replace it, and in so doing, have noticed that on the gear box, under where the spring stretches over from rod to the engine rear plate, there are two bolt-holes..... is there supposed to be something attached to these? Um...
You can tell how often I actually look at the gear box.
Thanks in anticipation

The only stupid question is the one you don't ask when you don't know the answer, so don't worry. A picture would help, but from your description these sound like the tappings to mount a slave cylinder for a hydraulically operated clutch - the same case was used on other cars, but you certainly haven't lost anything from a standard Minor.

Oh, that's good.
Thank you. I did think it was strange that there is this blank space... but everything still works.
