headlining replacement tips

Post by jcrtd »

Hi
Anyone with tips on sticking the headlining to the rear area backing board of a 1954 Traveller?
What glue is best, is the vinyl stretched?, how many people does it require? etc.
Thanks
John

I've done two travellers and never used any glue - you need a stapler, a tool type, not one for your letters! All the contact points are into woodwork, or you use the side wood panels to finish the outer edges.

Work from the front and the middle, and in warm weather (unlikely now!) if you can.[frame]Image[/frame][frame]Image[/frame]

Hi M
The headlining on my traveller is stuck to a backing board and then the board is fixed into place. Did you fix the headling straight onto the wood?
Thanks
John
