Manchester minors
Now repeat after me.
Morris minors are the way forward.
Don't ever be told that your life wont be taken other by owning a classic car.
You can never own to many vintage cars.
Now that wasn't hard was it.

Re: Manchester minors
Hi Josh,
We bought our Minor from there at the beginning of this year and in a nutshell they were, and still are, a really good company to deal with. We wanted a general runabout so didn't want to pay the earth for pristine condition, they had a couple that fitted the bill and they offered very good advice and let us test drive a few cars. The one we chose came with a full year warranty covering absolutely everything, body, mechanicals, electrics the lot, even wearing parts!!. They asked us to take the car back after 500 miles for a free check up and replaced a wheel bearing and steering rack while they were at it. Also included is next years MOT costs, we just pay for the certificate. They are always at the end of the phone offering advice and really know their stuff. Of course we paid a bit more than a private sale but for the peace of mind, the pleasurable buying experience, it has been well worth it.
The car has done about 4000 miles this year including a trip to France in June ladened up with camping gear and hasn't missed a beat. (tempting fate here!!
)
Just looking around their garage is worth the trip, it's like going back in time, a proper garage with proper garage smells!!
I can't recommend them highly enough, get yourself over there and have a look, you'll not regret it

Re: Manchester minors
I'd agree with the previous post, having dealt with them seven years ago and had equally good service.
Re: Manchester minors
It's a company that's been established in Manchester for a good number of years. Talking to Martin Wood, who owns the garage with son Paul, it seems they've moved site quite a few times. There's a very good little video that someone's done only very recently, they've posted a link to it in this thread:

Re: Manchester minors
Praise indeed! You make me wish I'd bought mine there! Instead I went to a very well known dealer near Bristol. There were some faults on my car which in my opinion shouldn't have been there for the price I paid. There were things like worn door hinges on driver's door, poor repairs on all four doors and a few minor things. To be fair to them, they did offer to put some of them right the next time I'm in the area and there are positive points with the car such as a very sound underside. I only have myself to blame really as I bought the car sight unseen by telephone from another country. Caveat emptor!

Re: Manchester minors
Not all firms dealing/selling/servicing Minors choose to advertise in Minor Matters. Nothing sinistre in it - just their choice.
