Re: Warning Buzzer
I hate cars that tell me what to do. I know that I left the lights on when I opened the door, I don't need a b***** buzzer on the Focus to tell me. If only I could find which fuse it is connected to....

Most cars now the lights go off (and stay off) when the driver door is opened - can be over-ridden of course to leave side-lights on for parking.
Connect one side of buzzer to light circuit and other to ignition - with a diode in the line so it buzzes if lights on/ignition off - but NOT the other way round!
But I agree with others - I hate cars that buzz or ring at me ! I know full well I have pulled on the handbrake/taken off my seat belt 10 yards before my driveway.............SO annoying.

Hmmm, maybe when I have to take the dash out. Don't think I can be bothered with fiddling with the wiring at this point in time.

Wire your accessories through the ignition fuse or side light switch and get into the habit of giving the car a glance as you walk away from it to check that the lights are off

Re: Warning Buzzer
Set off in bad weather whilst it is still getting light - arrive at destination over an hour later in bright sunshine and exit the car without walking round the front or the back.... is a perfect recipe for having a flat battery when it's time to go home!
I did this 3 or 4 times in my first Minor when I had my first job (in the middle of nowhere near featherstone...) and eventually carried not only jump leeads but a spare battery so I could jump start myself!
The buzzer solution is much less hassle.
