Valuation
I have a 1958 Morris Minor 4 door( I believe it to be one of the first batch of non split screen models, I could be wrong) it was my mothers car she died in 1971 and there it has remained in dad's garage ever sinse, my father died this year and I have had the registration document put in my name. It's registration is MJA 694 can anyone help me as to it's value, I suspect the registration is worth a great deal more than the car. I would be really grateful for any good advise.
Re: Valuation
Depend entirely on the condition....... Registrations such as that are often greatly 'overvalued' - and I believe the car has to have(or recently had) an MOT before it's transferable anyway.
Pop up some pictures and let's see it ! Have you no attachment to the car yourself - no ambitions to bring it back to full glory and keep it 'for ever' ?

Re: Valuation
Its a really tricky question (read, how long is a piece of string) and it depends entirely on the condition of the car....
If its largely free of rot, complete and in OK condition then possibly upto £500 on a good day. If its very rotten, the rats have been in there and bits are missing then it could be a "give away" car....

Re: Valuation
We bought a '56 splitscreen (like yours few weeks off changeover to single screen - Oct '56) in 2003. Paid £300 for it. It had been sitting in a garage for 18 years. Everything rubber needed replacing (i.e.all brakes window rubbers etc) Paint cracked and the engine wouldn't run. Interior tired but all present. Try £450 - 500 to allow for inflation
