im looking at fitting a set of 14 inch minilites. i have marina axel and discs,does anyone know if 5 or5.5j will be better,and what offset i kneed?......

True Bully prob only have standard Minor stuff so best to speak to Jono. If I remember correctly didn't someone have some 3.75"PCD minilites for sale on here recently... GAS ......?

or just get some MGF alloys.. you will need thin spacers to avoid the tyres hitting the uprights though

Indeed the answer is MGF wheels - often cheap as chips since they fit very few other cars.

mgf wheels seem to be 15 inch wouldnt this be a problem.

The size of the rim does not matter it is the rolling radius of the tyre..

this web site tells you the difference between the 145 r 14 and what ever you change to..

even then all is not lost because you might be able to the speedo to match the tyres, or just use a sat nav and do not worry about your speedo..

moggy are 145/80/14 gives a difference of -0.51% i.e. not noticable

That confirms what I thought, my 175 x 13 tyres have almost the same rolling radius as the original 155 x 14s, + 6mm. However that does not take into account tyre wear which if the new tread depth is say 7.5 mm and the old tyre tread depth is 1.5mm makes a diff. of -12 mm to the rolling radius of a minimum legal tread tyre compared to a new tyre.
