Rear Quarter bubbling

Righto, on the car that I am picking up this evening the rear quarter section (2 door) is starting to bubble at the bottom (it doesn't look too bad, so not sure if its going to warrant a full replacement) what I would like to know though is what causes this to happen.

My guess would be that its probabally the rear window rubber leaking and water running down behind the door card and pooling in the inner panels. Any other thoughts?

on mine, it looks as if there has been a rust hole somewhere else, and the water collected in the box section and rusted through. check all along the bottom for other holes. if it HAS sat there, there is a high chance of it having rotted out somewhere else too. i'd fill it with a cavity wax, too. prevent any further damage.

Let's see a picture of the rust!

I would not apply cavity wax yet as the area may need the rust cutting out and welding new metal in and you will regret waxoyling a rusty area then!

Its actually not as bad as I remembered Lol. No pics yet as I picked the car up in dusk. The underside of the car is SOLID with no obvious location for water ingress. I have a feeling it might be left over from when the underside was done
