Ten years ago I had a grille chromed, cost sixty quid .............
went rusty in less than one year :(
The chap that done it put chrome straight onto steel, no nickel or copper ...... If you could find somebody to do the job properly I'm sure It wouldn't be cheap ...... and if it is cheap, expect rust.

I had some stuff chromed (not car related but same process) and all I payed for was a space in a big tank, think it was a meter squared section. You can then fill this with as much stuff as you can fit in it, cost around £100 which is very good if you fill your allocated space. Unfortunately I can't remember the place but may have a recipt in my file so will try and get the name. Oh and the stuff has been outside for at least a year and still looks brand new :D

I have just had 3 outer door handles rechromed with 'classics and chrome' for £90.00 inc p&p. Excellent job done.

Rob, I had to go delving into the attic into boxes that hadnt been unpakced since I moved house in April to find the receipt for the chroming!! The company dont advertise, they get enough work from word of mouth. I saw there work on a SS jag and it was splendid, asked who had done it and that was that :D

Cost to chrome was £55, £18 to post and vat plus me posting it to them.
