1932 Morris Minor

Post by gdj043 »

Hi,

I need some help with regards a 1932 Morris Minor, registration WF5584. I have no idea if this car is still on the road or what became of it. I have tried the DVLA vehicle enquiry and they have said that they are not able to help me because of the age of the vehicle. Is there a list held by the Owner's Club or anything like that?

It is the car my Grandparents "went away" in after getting married in 1950 and I thought it would be nice to try and track it down for them. Unfortunately, I've left it late to think of this because the anniversary is next week!

Any information you have would be very helpful.

Conversely, if anyone knows of someone who has one in the Nottingham/Mansfield area and wouldn't mind taking them for a short drive or a sit in it next weekend I would very much like to get in touch with them.

Thank you, in anticipation.

Sadly that number is no longer registered to any vehicle so likely it is long gone. My grandfather owned a Morris 8 which I have been trying to track down but so far without any luck either.....

I would contact these people, http://www.morrisregister.co.uk/ they tend to be better at pre-war Morris Minor. :D

Apologies that I have not come back to the forum sooner; my wife went into a labour a little unexpectedly so since then everything has fallen out of my head.

I looked up the vintage minor people and Ian Grace was very helpful and he's found not the exact car, but same year, nearby, so hopefully something will be sorted for a "reunion" in the near future.

Many thanks and all the best

Graham
