Painting Engine Plates

Post by jaguar68 »

Hi Guys,

Silly question time. Should I prime and paint the front and rear engine plates completely or just where they aren't covered by the timing cover/gearbox bell housing?

Cheers

You don't want paint going into the engine - hence they were only ever painted as part of the complete assembled engine........

The bits that don't show are usually oily and won't rust.
