what thickness metal should i use to repair the rear spring hangers AND the inner wheel arch on primrose?

Rear spring hangers 1.2 mm rear wheel arch 1mm.

Much better off though buying complete sections for either the front or rear spring hangers and replacing them as repair section panels rather than patching the area.

how hard is it to replace a spring hanger? the rest i can actually get away with by patching as the rest of my holes are not on the actual mounting bits, just the floor

I did a guide some years ago for a fellow forum member (and fellow student on the Maidstone restoration course)

By the way, later on in the restoration, I removed the rear seat box and repaired the inner sill step- cut out all the rust and replaced with 2mm plates and also restored the seat box before plug welding it into place.

The work is not too hard, as long as you are good at welding and cutting and fabrication etc, and be very careful with measuring all the suspension mounting holes to ensure the panels go back where they should!
