key number on drivers door lock?
Hello, could anybody tell me if the key number is stamped anywhere on the drivers side door lock on a 4 door salloon? My lock is worn but i have a spare door with a handle thats looks in good condition. My fs key does not fit which may be due to wear or wrong key number, but my idea is get the fs number off the spare door lock and order a key and see if it works ok before i go to effort of removing it etc. cheers

The doors and ignition are normally the same key and unless the lock has been changed the driver's and passenger door (if it has a lock) would be the same.

There is no passenger side door lock on a 4 door. the key number should be on the barrel, but you have to take the barrel out of the handle to see it.
