Calling all Moggy owners in Norfolk (south) ((Near Diss))

Post by Grant Carter »

Hi there my name is Grant Carter (17) i have, in the last year, bought myself a Morris Minor Traveller...aka Merlin...i have all the books i could want so myself and my dad (Roger) have tried to do some work on the engine e.t.c

However our knowledge..well his knowledge...isn't great in the area of motor mechanics but we have detected that the 'mixture is too rich' so too much petrol to air.....we have tinkered a little bit but we really need some help and would really REALLY appreciate another member or member(s) coming and taking a look and, well, giving us a hand :D

If it sounds like you can help us then please PM me or reply here......Tea & Coffee and probably some excellent cake would be provided...Cheers

Grant & Roger Carter :)

Just turn the mixture nut fully up and then down to complete turns - It shouldn't be far off at that....

If you don't manage to sort it I have a Colourtune plug you could borrow (a see-through spark plug) which enables you to get the mixture right. I'm only about ten miles up the A140 from the Diss area. :D
