Bella the Convertible's New Look
After 2 months of very hard work by Jon my convertible has at last had the bare metal respray we promised her when we bought her. She's now in Clipper Blue with a navy hood, ready for our Daughter's wedding next weekend!

Re: Bella the Convertible's New Look
So you should BetsyBlue looks transformed at the front. It's amazing what a bit of tidying up can do.
Bella's paint was terrible. The previous owner had just sprayed the blue on top of chips and dents without any rubbing down at all. As we couldn't match the paint we had no choice but to go back to bare metal as the paint could have been 2pack and we spray in celly.

Hi Lou.& John.
I am sorry I don't like the look. I think the greenhouse look don't do it for me.
Or have I got it totally wrong. Is it like the pope mobiel visability all around....
Ok great looking car.

Re: Bella the Convertible's New Look
Fantastic Job! I know how much hard work it is to do a full bare metal re-spray as I did the same on my convertible!
Well done for getting such a great finish. Just goes to show that you can get a great finish at home with cellulose paint and that it is far better not to make any short cuts and do the job properly the first time.
Bare metal, remove any rust, etch prime, fill any imperfections, prime (a few times), flat, stop, flat, prime again a few times, flat again to de-nib and finally the top coats. The let dry, wet sand, machine polish, glaze and wax!

Is that a euphemism?
