traveller guttering

Post by davetaylor »

This is becoming a major problem. I bought my traveller and the roof and guttering had been removed. I was supplied with alli guttering with the new wood . How do I fit the gutter? Do I pin the roof down first then pin the gutter to the roof? With the shape of the gutter it seems impossible to pin it to the wood work. Help please
Frustated.

Yes

Pin down the roof then the gutter on top.

There is a flap in the gutter which you lift up, pin through and then fold back down.

Its relatively easy on the straight runs but you have to saw a bit of the gutter at the rear corners and heat/soften before bending round. Its a pig to then get the flap down neatly around the corner. Lots of time and patience required!!!

Sadly Jon was 'banned' from this Forum (great loss to all) - but you may catch him on the Morrisowners Forum ( http://mog.myfreeforum.org/index.php) - or of course through his own Company website http://www.jlhmorrisminors.co.uk/

Make sure that when you look along the gutter from one end it is straight.
