Here's a link to the technical tips section showing how to change to negative earth:

http://www.mmoc.org.uk/index.php?page=322

And here's a thread which contains a wiring diagram showing how to fit an alternator:

Since you are removing the dynamo you can ignore the sections relating to it

What the 'Tech Tips' ( ) fails to tell is that you must also clean or replace the ignition points - and clean or replace the fuel pump points. Otherwise there will be trouble (shortly) ahead. The wiper motor does NOT run backwards    And it also fails to mention that in turning round the battery this can place the terminals dangerously close to the retaining bar - so either modify the bar, or make sure good rubber insulation is interposed to ensure the terminals can't touch the bar! Needless to say - if you have a +ve earth wireless fitted - it won't work/will be ruined when you swop to -ve earth.

it is covered as point number 2 but yes the other parts are not covered.

as for the wiper motor going the opposite direction.. there is no way you can tell unless you have the motor turned up side down.

It's a parallel wound motor - so both field and armature are reversed when the polarity is reversed - and so it runs the same way as before. As is the heater motor - although I know nothing of the 'very early' motors which may have permanent magnet field - so the 'Tech Tip' ( ) could be right there - although I somehow doubt it.
