I have a 1995 940 Volvo
I need to fit some new rear pads this week.
Will I need a wind back tool?

I fitted pads (not to Volvo) by winding the cylinders back in using a steel 'jemmy' bar and pressing/turning really really hard at the same time. It worked - but was hard work!

It wasn't a problem I just pushed the pistons back with a pair of pliars. No special tools required - good old Volvo.
I'm going to miss the brakes singing to me.
