seat belts

Post by rellarby »

I am fitting inertia reel seat belts to the front of my 1963 convertible and cannot figure out how to fix the shoulder fixing without welding a nut on to the door post and spoiling the interior paintwork which is in excellent condition.

You should be able to use a top mount positionin the same place as a 2 door saloon (part way back on the rail under the rear window)

Thanks Ray found it, may have a problem though because inertia reel must be fitted vertically, using top rail will probably leave it on an angle. also do you know the bolt size I should use.

you should be able to get inertia belts from Minor specialists that are suitable for the 2 door setup.. Otherwise the standard ones can be troublesome if you use them on an angle
Or you could look for some nice (period) static belts
